Augusta County is really in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia rather than central Virginia but with its close proximity to Charlottesville, Virginia, we decided to include it. Many people live in Augusta County and make the 30-minute commute over the scenic Afton Mountain to Charlottesville every day.
